This is a classic picture of the St.Johns Depot.
Engine 2246 at the St.Johns Depot from an undetermined year.
This depot was constructed in 1868-1869 and was later destroyed by the 1920 tornado.
Here is a photo from 2007 of our present depot. This is the current depot that replaced the original St.Johns depot that was destroyed in the fire.
Here is a rare image of the original depot's condition after the great tornado of 1920. As you can see it was quite nearly destroyed; leading to the building of our new depot building we are currently using.
The Gatemans tower is shown on the right of this picture. The tower was located to the west of the depot.
