Railway Museum Opens for the Season May 4

Three historic cars by the Depot

What do flowers, the season opening of Clinton Northern Railway Museum at 107 E. Railroad St., St. Johns, and Mother’s Day have in common? Plan to visit and see on the first two Sundays of the museum’s season: May 4 and 11 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.

On May 4, 1 – 3 PM, all gifts in the Depot Gift Shop will be 25% off, for that day only. Additionally, coupons will be given out toward the purchase of Mother’s Day flowers at the St. Johns Florist and Greenhouse, 802 E. Steel St., St. Johns, owned and operated by Pam and John Garcia. They are generously allowing the Railroad Museum’s 4th historic railcar to rest on their property while the exterior is restored before joining the other cars by the depot.

On May 11, 1 – 3 PM, all mothers who visit the depot will receive a flower in celebration of Mother’s Day. Clinton Northern Railway is one of five branches of Clinton County Arts Council (CCAC). Another branch, the Arts Gallery, 215 N. Clinton, will also be open on May 4, 1 – 3 PM, with artistic jewelry and other unique and wonderful gifts to buy for Mother’s Day. CCAC is grateful to receive grant funds from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts, along with generous donations from the community
